Description
The ComAp InteliCompact NT MINT is an “all-in-one” integrated controller designed specifically for multiple gen-sets operating in Island mode (parallel with each other) or in Parallel-to-Mains (when used with an additional MainsCompact NT unit).
While it is now technically a legacy/discontinued product, it remains widely used in existing rental fleets and small-to-medium power plants because of its simplicity and “Multiple Island” (MINT) specialized software.
Key Features of the InteliCompact NT MINT
-
Simplified Paralleling: Designed to make “MINT” applications (up to 32 units) as easy as possible with minimal wiring.
-
Integrated Display: Features a built-in monochrome screen ($128 \times 64$ pixels) for local monitoring and adjustment.
-
Power Management: Includes Load Demand Start/Stop and Running Hours Equalization to ensure your fleet ages evenly and saves fuel.
-
Legacy “Compact” Footprint: Ideal for smaller control panels where the larger InteliGen frames won’t fit.
-
EFI Engine Support: Full communication via CAN/J1939 for modern electronic engines.

Critical Buyer’s Guide: InteliCompact NT MINT
Since this model is part of the older “NT” architecture, there are specific hardware requirements your customers should know:
-
No Built-in Networking: Just like the InteliGen 4 200, this unit does not have a built-in Ethernet port. Customers must buy the IB-Lite module for Ethernet or the IL-NT GPRS for cellular.
-
Mains Paralleling: This unit is for gen-set-to-gen-set paralleling. If the customer needs to parallel with the utility grid (Mains), they must also purchase a MainsCompact NT controller.
-
Replacement Note: If a customer’s InteliCompact NT MINT fails, the InteliGen 4 200 is the recommended modern replacement, though it may require slight wiring adjustments and a configuration conversion.
